2008 Kawasaki Concours 14


Kawasaki mods the ZX-14 sportbike drivetrain for tour duty, with injectors, ram air and variable valve timing for midrange punch. Shaft drive substitutes for a chain, adding a back-torque limiting slipper clutch. Stiffened chassis with sporting and comfortable ergonomics. Pocket key fob plus electric-adjust windshield and hard locking bags. But where are the heated grips?

A new Supersport Touring entry throws down the technology gauntlet. 1352-cc, 156-hp, liquid-cooled inline-four; 615-lb dry weight (with ABS); quarter-mile in 10.88 sec @ 124.27 mph
